1. What material is the lead screw and nut made of?
Generally speaking, the lead screw is rolled with 303 stainless steel, and the nut is made of engineering plastic (polyacetal resin).
2. What are the benefits of Teflon coating?
It can increase the service life of the nut by three to four times, reduce the friction coefficient between the nut and the screw from 0.12 to 0.09, increase the transmission efficiency from 10% to 20%, increase the surface finish and reduce noise. Coating can not only provide the above benefits, but also be a hard coating, which can adapt to bad environment, clean room application and brushing application.
3. Can the lead screw be used in the clean room?
This depends on what grade of clean room the lead screw is used in. Most of the lead screws can be used in 1000 grade clean rooms without modification. Teflon coating is specially designed for such environments.
4. Can lead screw and nut be used in vacuum environment?
It depends on your system requirements. The weight reduction of standard acetal materials in a certain temperature and vacuum environment over the whole time is useful. Since we have the ability to make nuts from various materials, it is likely to find materials suitable for your application.
5. What is the self-locking force?
The self-locking force of the lead screw refers to the ability of the screw to rotate by the thrust acting on the nut. When the lead angle of the lead screw is greater than the equivalent friction angle, the self-locking force can work. Because it is very difficult to measure, a useful empirical estimation method is that the lead of the unlubricated lead screw is self-locking when the lead is greater than one third of the diameter. Lubricated is a quarter.
6. Can the lead screw nut assembly be used in harsh environments?
Since the lead screw has no rolling elements, the requirements for dust and dirt are relatively loose. It is allowed to work in paper processing, wood and metal processing, engraving machines and food processing environments.
7. How long is the service life of the lead screw nut assembly?
For clearance elimination nuts, life refers to the failure of nut clearance compensation ability. For ordinary nuts, it means that they can not push the load or meet the accuracy requirements of the system. The use of different forms of nuts can improve the service life.
8. Has your motor been approved by UL, CSA, CE and other institutions?
The low working voltage of the motor eliminates the need for UL, CSA, CE and other relevant certification. However, many customers who use our motors have finally passed these certifications for the whole product system.
9. This motor vibrates a lot in my application. What measures do I take to reduce the vibration?
This could be resonance. The resonance frequency range of permanent magnet motor is 75 ~ 90pps, and that of hybrid motor is 140 ~ 200pps. Try to start accelerating above these frequencies, or use subdivision.
